Washington, DC (WUSA) -- The Hyudai Motor Company is offering to defer new-car payments for 800,000 workers who have been furloughed due to the government shutdown.
The company says workers who buy or lease cars in October won't have to make payments until January, and those who already own a Hyundai, financed through Hyundai Finance America, won't have to make payments until they go back to work.
Offered as an extension of the "Hyundai Assurance" program, Hyundai Motor America President and CEO John Krafcik says "This is our way of saying 'We've got your back' during this uncertain time."
More information is available on the Hyundai Motor America website regarding this offer. (http://bit.ly/1eZYPts)
