Jacksonville, FL (WLTX) -- The Bi-Lo Holdings company announced Thursday the conversion of many Piggly Wiggly stores to Bi-Lo branded stores.
Many of the South Carolina stores will be closed temporarily for renovation and re-branding, to reflect the Bi-Lo brand.
In the Midlands area, the following stores are scheduled to temporarily close on November 9th:
• 518 North Wheeler Avenue, Prosperity, S.C.
• 615 Harry C Raysor Drive South, St Matthews, S.C.
• 760 Highway 378, Lexington, S.C.
• 4711-1 Forest Drive, Columbia, S.C.
Following a six day closure, these stores will reopen Friday, November 15th as Bi-Lo stores.
Bi-Lo also has similar renovation plans for many of the other Piggly Wiggly stores in South Carolina and Georgia.
Piggly Wiggly was founded in Charleston in 1947, and the acquisition of 22 stores from Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company, Inc. will be complete November 2nd.
