Shaw did not practice Monday, but was expected to throw the ball around late Tuesday. He could be back to practicing in full gear by mid-week.
Spurrier said Shaw had done well in tests performed by medical staff.
Spurrier also said safety Devonte Holloman is still suffering from his concussion, and its still not clear if he'll be ready for the game. The coach says right now, it appears spur linebacker Antonio Allen will return after missing last week's game with neck spasms.
South Carolina takes on Florida (5-4, 3-4 SEC) in a game that could decide if the Gamecocks win the Eastern Division. If USC wins and Georgia loses to Auburn, the Gamecocks would clinch the title for the second year in a row.
