Greenville, SC (WLTX) --- The South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association clinic concluded Wednesday as football coaches from all over the state gathered in Greenville just two days before the official start of preseason practice.
The clinic offers instruction from college coaches on the X's and O's. The event also is a chance for the high school coaches to receive final instructions on any new rules and regulations which have been implemented by the SC High School League.
Longtime college assistant coach Miles Aldridge is entering his third year as Spring Valley's head coach. Aldridge has coached at a number of ACC and SEC schools including Clemson and USC. He even had a stint with the NFL's Buffalo Bills. However, Aldridge is always up for learning and says he has come away with some information that he hopes to use this season.
"I have notebooks full of notes," says Aldridge.
The clinic is also a sign that summer vacation is over and the start of a new football season is just a few weeks away.
