Edenton, NC (WLTX) --- For the first time in the team's history, the Columbia Blowfish will play to the Petitt Cup Playoffs Championship Series. The Blowfish topped number one seed Edenton Steamers 5-1 Thursday night.
Fredrico Castagnini started things off for the Blowfish with a home run early in the game. The Steamers cut into the lead in the second inning. The Blowfish proved to be too strong as Stuart Pound drilled a two-run homer to give Columbia a 4-1 lead.
The Blowfish will now return to historic Capital City Stadium Sunday for their final game at the park. They will play either Forest City or Fayetteville at 6:05 p.m.
