NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Vanderbilt Commodores are desperate enough for a win they do not care who they playing Saturday and insist they will overlook no team.
Not even Presbyterian, a small Football Championship Subdivision school whose last Division II season was 2006.
Vanderbilt coach James Franklin says ugly win, good win, pretty win doesn't matter because his Commodores just want a win. He says it starts Saturday.
They lost fourth-quarter leads in each game, including last week's 24-13 loss at Northwestern. The 0-2 start isn't what they expected after the program's fifth-bowl berth last season. The coach says this team needs to find its identity this year.
Franklin also is considering a quarterback change, though there's been no change to a depth chart yet showing Jordan Rodgers as the starter.
