Jadeveon Clowney stands on the sidelines at Williams-Brice Stadium during pre-game drills on November 17, 2012.
Columbia, SC (WLTX) - USC defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was held out for the Wofford game due to a foot injury.
The team announced about an hour before kickoff that the star sophomore wouldn't play. Clowney was on the sidelines but wasn't in uniform.
The coaching staff had held Clowney out of practice during the week because of the injury. Days before last week's game against Arkansas, Clowney had admitted he wasn't at 100 percent.
Clowney leads the team in sacks with 8 1/2. He's a finalist for several of the nation's top defensive awards.
