Columbia, SC --- USC placed three players on the SEC All-Freshman squad as selected by the 14 head football coaches, the league office announced today.
Earning spots on the squad were tight end Jerell Adams, offensive tackle Brandon Shell and defensive back T.J. Gurley.
Adams is a true freshman who in high school, helped Scott's Branch win a pair of state championships. He caught four passes for 90 yards, an average of 22.5 yards per reception, with one touchdown in eight games. His touchdown reception came from 29 yards out in the win over Arkansas.
