Clemson, SC (WLTX) --- Perhaps it was fitting the weather in the upstate consisted of cold temperatures, hail and sleet because on a cold Friday afternoon, Clemson's athletics department held a dedication ceremony for its brand new indoor facility for football.
The $10 million venue is an 80,000 square foot building that represents a major upgrade for Tiger program.
Head coach Dabo Swinney says the new venue will mean no more days of cancelling practice due to inclement weather. The team was able to use the facility in December in preparations for the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.
"Whatever the final price tag on the building was, it's not even close to what it would have cost to have a three-and-a-half-hour infomercial for Clemson University in front of millions and millions of people who get to watch it," Swinney said.
