Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Lower Richland High School has a rich basketball tradition and this week, another state championship trophy was on display.
The reigning champions of Class 3A were honored at a school assembly where they were presented with their medals for their win Saturday night over Orangeburg-Wilkinson.
For head coach Debbie Stroman, it was her seventh state championship. Her first came in 1994 and from 2007-2009, her team was the dominant program for 3A girls basketball.
The coach says this year's run through the post-season was an important reminder that championships can still be won.
