Bright Hits First Career HR, Gamecocks Win 9-5

Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Home runs from both Connor Bright and Joey Pankake led the way as sixth ranked South Carolina took care of Rider 9-5 Saturday at Carolina Stadium.

Gamecocks would tally 13-hits in the afternoon. Bright and Pankake each had two hits with two RBI and two runs scored. On the defensive side, Joel Seddon pitched an inning of relief and came away with the win.

The Gamecocks improve to 12-2 with Rider dropping to 6-3 for the season. The series concludes on Sunday with first pitch at 1:30 p.m.
