Justice Cunningham (Jeff Blake-USA TODAY Sports)
(WLTX) --- It has been nearly a week since former USC tight end Justice Cunningham heard his name called as the last pick of the NFL Draft.
The native of Pageland was chosen by the Colts with the 254th selection, giving him the status of "Mr. Irrelevant".
But Cunningham is headed to Indianapolis with a clear purpose - to prove to the Colts' coaches that they were wise to select him.
Cunningham says he will go to rookie camp with a chip on his shoulder, much like he did when he arrived at USC as a freshman. He says coming from a small school in a small town made him determined to show people he could play with more highly-touted players.
That process will start all over again next week.
