Lexington defeated Blythewood 5-2 in game one of the best-of-three championship series

(WLTX) --- The 4A and 3A state championships of high school baseball will go through the Midlands.

The 4A state championship series began Monday night with Lexington defeating Blythewood 5-2. Game two will be Wednesday night on the Bengals' home field.

If there is a game 3, it would likely be at Carolina Stadium on Friday night.

In the 3A ranks, Airport and A.C. Flora both advanced and will face each other Thursday night in game one of that best-of-three championship series.

The Eagles of Airport faced Socastee and after dropping the first game of the Lower State finals 12-1, the Eagles bounced back with a 2-0 victory in the winner-take-all contest.

In the Upper State title game, defending state champion A.C. Flora did not need to use a mulligan as it defeated Eastside 4-3.
