(WLTX) --- Clemson remained winless in the ACC Tournament as North Carolina rallied for five runs in the ninth to force extra innings and then won it 12-7 in 14 innings Friday evening in Durham.

This marked the longest ACC tournament game for the Tigers since 1986 when Clemson defeated Wake Forest 6-5 in 14 innings.

UNC had scored two runs in the ninth to cut the Clemson lead to 7-4. That's when Brian Holberton unloaded a three-run home run to tie the game at 7.

The score stayed the same until the top of the 14th when UNC scored five runs in the inning, three on a bases-loaded triple by Chaz Frank.

The Tigers will play Miami at 3:00 p.m. in their final game of the ACC Tournament. Clemson wll try to avoid going 0-3 in the conference tournament. If the Tigers lose, they would head into Selection Monday having lost five straight after a nine-game winning streak.
