Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Michael Wilson's sacrifice fly scored Jake Welch in the bottom of the sixth inning for the only run in a 1-0 Blowfish win Wednesday night in the first home game of the 2013 season.
USC's Hunter Privette pitched three innings in relief to pick up the win for Columbia who lost to Gastonia in Tuesday's season opener.
The victory was also the first for new Blowfish head coach Johnathan Johnson.
This is scheduled to be the final season of baseball at Capital City Stadium as the land that surrounds the venue has been sold to an Atlanta developer.
The park was first built in 1927 and has been home to the Columbia Mets and Bombers, both minor league teams.
