Chapel Hill, NC (WLTX) - Rains prevented Game Three of the Chapel Hill Super Regional from even getting a start Monday, but forecasts show today's game will have a start at noon.
Freshman left-hander Jack Wynkoop (7-3, 2.92 ERA) is expected to be the starting pitcher for USC. He will be opposed by Tar Heel right-hander Benton Moss (8-1, 3.27 ERA).
It's the second time during this Super Regional that the game has been postponed. Last Friday's game was postponed due to storms and rain as well.
The Tar Heels won Game 1 Saturday 6-5 on a walk off hit. The Gamecocks then shut down the Tar Heels Sunday with an 8-0 victory.
The Gamecocks are hoping for a return to Omaha so they can make a run at a third national title in four years.
WLTX has a crew in Chapel Hill and will have complete coverage on-air, on WLTX.com, and on Facebook and Twitter.
