(WLTX) --- The week before the Shrine Bowl is a fun time for high school players who head to the beach and showcase their skills in the annual North-South All-Star Game.
However, 2013 is going to be a year with some major changes to that week's schedule in December.
The Mr. Football award will be announced during halftime of the game, instead of the Friday night prior to game day.
Also, there is a new title sponsor for the event as South Carolina's Electric Cooperatives signs on for at least one year. The new name of the All-Star game will be the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl.
The new sponsor means a game that first kicked off in 1947 will continue.
