Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- There will be once again two members of the Kimrey family patrolling the sidelines on Friday nights.
Erik Kimrey played quarterback at Dutch Fork when his father, Bill, was the head coach.
After graduating from USC where he will always be remembered for "the fade", Erik eventually took over the program at Hammond where at one point he led the Skyhawks to six consecutive SCISA state titles.
Bill's head coaching career hit a lull when he left the Dutch Fork program after the 2008 season. After serving as a Hammond assistant for the last three seasons, the elder Kimrey has ventured out on his own again, taking over the program at Calhoun County High School in St. Matthews.
Kimrey says he's been wanting to return to the day-to-day action of being in charge of a program and with family in the St. Matthews area, Kimrey jumped at the chance to coach the Saints.
