Columbia, SC (WLTX) - USC is down one spot and Clemson is up a notch in the latest Bowl Championship Series standings.
The survey was released Sunday night.
The Gamecocks are 11th this week, while Clemson is 7th.
Both teams are coming off a win as they begin winding down their seasons. They each play a non-conference in-state foe this week (for USC, that's Coastal Carolina; for Clemson, it's Citadel) where they will be heavily favored.
The teams, of course, meet on November 30th in Columbia to end the regular season. Each team is potentially in the running for a BCS bowl, depending on how the final two weeks play out. Each is a possibility for an at-large bid, and South Carolina still has the potential to play itself into one if they can make to the SEC Championship game and win that contest.
