The Bojangles Bash Tips Off

The fifth annual Bojangles Bash goes international for the first time with a team from Canada in the field.

With coaches from USC and Benedict in attendance, the fifth annual Bojangles Bash tipped off with the host Ridge View Blazers hoping to win on their home court.

In spite of leading by 16 in the second half, and by 12 entering the final quarter, Ridge View could not close the deal as Rock Creek Christian Academy rallied for a 50-47 victory.

The first game of the Bojangles Bash saw an All-Midlands showdown go to Westwood who scored a 56-39 win over W.J. Keenan. The Raiders could have been looking ahead to Friday night's matchup at Lower Richland.

In the final game on Thursday's schedule, Huntington Prep defeated Orangeville 77-61. Huntington Prep is ranked seventh nationally by USA Today. Orangeville is from Ontario, Canada - the first team outside of the United States to compete in the Bojangles Bash.

Friday's action begins at 6:00 p.m. with Saturday's schedule starting at 12 noon with all games at Ridge View High School.
