Clemson, SC (Sports Network) - K.J. McDaniels scored 15 points to lead the
Clemson Tigers past the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 63-60, in an Atlantic
Coast Conference battle at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Milton Jennings was both a point and a rebound shy of a double-double for
Clemson (12-8, 4-4 ACC) which has won back-to-back games after consecutive
losses.
Daniel Miller scored 16 points, Kammeon Holsey added 14 and Marcus Georges-
Hunt tacked on 11 for Georgia Tech (11-8, 1-6) which has lost six of its last
seven.
At the end of the first half Clemson led 36-30 by hitting 16-of-35 shots from
the field including 4-of-11 from beyond the arc. Georgia Tech connected on 13-
of-25 field goal attempts in the period.
The Tigers had a 61-55 lead with 58 seconds remaining but the Yellow Jackets
scored four quick points to pull within one with 17 seconds left. McDaniels
hit two free throws on the other end and when a Brandon Reed 3-point attempt
was off the mark, Clemson walked away with the win.
In the game Clemson had a 21-12 edge in points off turnovers while outscoring
Georgia Tech, 38-28, in the paint.
