Clemson, SC (WLTX) --- Coming off one of the most successful seasons in school history, ESPN's Joe Schad reports that Clemson and head football coach Dabo Swinney are close to announcing details on a new six-year contract.
Swinney led the Tigers to a 10-4 record and an ACC title last season. The end of the season didn't go as planned as the Tigers were routed in the Discover Orange Bowl 70-33 by West Virginia.
Swinney was expected to make $1.9 million in 2012. In three full seasons at the helm, Clemson is 25-16.
