Newark, DE (Sports Network) - The University of Delaware football team will
try to reverse a losing record during its 2013 schedule which includes seven
home games.
The Blue Hens, behind coach K.C. Keeler, are expected to return 10 starters on
offense and eight on defense from this year's 5-6 squad.
Nine of Delaware's 12 opponents had winning records this season.
The Blue Hens will play four of their first five games at home against
Jacksonville (Aug. 29), Delaware State (Sept. 7), Wagner (Sept. 21) and then
James Madison (Sept. 28) in their first CAA Football game.
Their first road game is at the Naval Academy on Sept. 14.
Other CAA games at home are against Albany (Oct. 12), William & Mary (Nov. 9)
and Richmond (Nov. 16).
The CAA road schedule consists of Maine (Oct. 5), Rhode Island (Oct. 26),
Towson (Nov. 2) and Villanova (Nov. 23).
Delaware has yet to announce special promotions, such as Homecoming Day.
