Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- A few of USC's women's tennis players admitted to being a little nervous prior to their season opener with Furman.
After all, it's not every day that you open a $4.5 million facility. But that was the case Wednesday as the team played its first match in its new Carolina Tennis Center.
USC defeated Furman 7-0, as Carolina took command from the outset and never looked back.
Head coach Arlo Elkins, who has been at USC for 29 years, expects this new venue to be a major boost to a program that has been to 17 straight NCAA Tournaments.
