Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Like a lot of college players, Graham Saiko is taking part in summer ball, but he's not playing, he's working.
The USC outfielder and rising senior is working as an intern for the Columbia Blowfish.
This marks the second straigth year he is with the Blowfish. last year, he was a player on the team that captured the Petit Cup.
Saiko says he wanted a first-hand look at what goes into running a baseball franchise and working with the Blowfish is giving him that opportunity.
As an intern, Saiko's job duties vary from day-to-day. One night, he could be handling parking detail followed by another night in the press box running the scoreboard mixed in with some time behind the grill.
Saiko is majoring in business with a sports and entertainment concentration and his internship with the Blowfish is another mark on his resume, but also it's a chance to gain practical experience that he can use when his baseball career ends and he begins the next chapter of his life.
