Dutch Fork Football Earns Top Play in USA TODAY 'Super 6'

Dutch Fork's double pass in the Fort Dorchester win went for 82 yards and was named the USA Today High School Sports Super Six Top Play of the Week

IRMO, S.C. - Dutch Fork got more than a win against Fort Dorchester, they were the number one play on USA Today High School Sports "Super 6" plays from the week.

Quarterback Reese Nichols threw a swing pass to his tight end Bryson Cannon, who heaved it downfield to Bobby Irby who sprinted into the end zone for a touchdown. Dutch Fork head coach Tom Knotts had them working on the play all week in practice, and pulled out the trick play when Fort Dorchester scored, drawing away from the Silver Foxes' momentum. This ended a 17-game winning streak for Fort Dorchester.

The Silver Foxes, now 2-0, return to the low country again to take on Summerville this Friday.
