To offset the cost of declining enrollment, the University of Missouri will offer rooms for rent at the on-campus residence halls for football games and other events, according to a report in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Missouri is looking at a 7.4% drop in enrollment this fall, the Post-Dispatch reported, and a $16.6 million less in revenue. The school announced there will be an increase in tuition to make up for what they're saying is the smallest freshman class in more than 20 years.
The school launched a website for room rental, and are charging $120 per night for a two-bedroom suite with four double beds.
Several dorms won't be used because of the smaller incoming freshman class and those are the ones that will be rented.
Missouri will host USC on September 9.
