Hornets Coach Steve Clifford Steps Away from Team to Address Health

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Hornets announced Wednesday morning the team will be without a head coach  as Steve Clifford steps away to address his health.

The Hornets said there is no timetable for his return but his leave will be effective immediately.

Hornets associate head coach Stephen Silas will serve as the acting head coach.

The Hornets enter Wednesday's game against the Golden State Warriors with a 9-13 record this season.
