Former Clemson QB Tajh Boyd Arrested

Greenville, SC (The Greenville News/WLTX) - Greenville police have charged former Clemson star Tajh Boyd with assault and battery, according to an arrest warrant.

The incident happened back on July 14 at On the Roxx, a nightspot located on South Main Street in Greenville. A man working the front door at the place said he told Boyd that he couldn't come into the bar because it was at full capacity. An incident report states Boyd began to argue, and pushed the victim on the ground causing him to knock over a woman.

Boyd eventually left the scene.

He turned himself in Tuesday after being contacted by police, Greenville Officer Gilberto Franco said.

Around the time the news of his arrest began being reported by news sites, Boyd tweeted out  the words, "a push."
