Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- He's the winningest quarterback in USC history and Friday night saw Connor Shaw making a return trip to the Midlands.
Shaw was signing autographs and posing for pictures at Palmetto Moon at the Village of Sandhills.For Shaw, it gave him another opportunity to interact with the fans who watched him set a new mark for quarterbacks at USC.
There was a cost to receiving an autograph but the money received went to Children's Chance, an organization that helps families who are dealing with pediatric cancer.
Shaw signed as a free agent with Cleveland and is battling to be the third-string quarterback on the final 53-man roster. He says that first day was extremely hectic with meetings and conditioning tests, but he has adapted to the way life is for an NFL quarterback. The biggest challenge is to continuing the master the playbook and when his time comes, Shaw says he has to ready to perform and show the coaches he can be productive in their system.
