USC's A'ja Wilson Named to Preseason All-America Team

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - South Carolina forward A'ja Wilson has been named to the first team of the Associated Press preseason All-America  Team.

The list was announced Thursday. She's joined by Ohio State's Kelsey Mitchell, Notre Dame's Brianna Turner, Baylor's Nina Davis,a nd Washington's Kelsey Plum.

Wilson, a junior from Columbia, has already had one of the best careers in USC basketball history. Last year, she was a finalist for the Naismith and Wooden Awards, two of the top individual awards in college basketball, and was named to multiple All-America postseason teams, including the AP.

During her sophomore year, she averaged 16.1 points a game and 8.7 rebounds a game. She's already a school record holder for blocked shots in a season 

She also is the reigning SEC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
