Chargers' Mike Williams Debunks Surgery Reports

LA Charges wideout and former Clemson Tiger Mike Williams was in the Midlands to support Alshon Jeffery's football camp and while there he addressed rumors of him needing back surgery.

ST. MATTHEWS, SC - You wouldn't think a Clemson Tiger would be at South Carolina Gamecock's football camp but that was the case today as former Tiger and LA Charger receiver Mike Williams came out to Saint Matthews to support Alshon Jeffery's youth football camp.

You may have heard about reports of Mike needing season ending back surgery. Williams suffered a herniated disc injury during rookie minicamp and was held out the remainder of the camp and offseason training.

He overcame a neck injury to have a fantastic final year at Clemson and he cleared up is injury rumors today.

"Everything is good," Williams said. "You know the back situation that was some false information being released. I don't know who released it but everything is good."

Chargers begin training camp July 30 but it is still unclear if Williams will be a full go by the start of the season.
