The Orangerburg-Wilkinson football team made another trip to the post-season this season and senior Malik Jackson Jr. was there every step of the way.
Jackson played a host of positions up front for the Bruins and head coach Tommy Brown knew he could count on Malik to learn multiple positions. Jackson has one of the highest GPA's at the school and the coach knew Malik could handle multiple responsibilities.
Malik doesn't know where he will attend college but he plans on majoring in computer science. He has received numerous academic scholarship offers thanks to his 4.6 GPA and 1200 SAT score. Jackson also is a member of the National Honor Society and is a South Carolina Palmetto Fellow.
O-W head football coach Tommy Brown says Malik is the latest in a long line of Bruin athletes who take care of business in the classroom and in their chosen sport.
Because of his strong academic resume, Malk could extend his football career as a walk-on if that possibility arises.
