Irmo, SC (WLTX) Irmo senior Kevin Baxter has been on the school's track team since the 7th grade.
"He's just a natural," said head coach Mike Moore. "He's never fallen down." That's pretty impressive for a hurdler. "I knew in the 9th grade I was pretty good," said Baxter. "That's when I got a couple letters from colleges."
Being looked at as a freshman? That's pretty impressive too. So is the fact that Baxter has not lost in the 110 meter hurdles for over a year now. Can you say Edwin Moses?
Baxter is also an exceptional student, with math and economics as his favorite subject. Could starting a business be a possibilty for him? "Maybe," he says.
Not only is Baxter great at his sport and in the classroom, but he does a lot of extra work with his church and is News 19's Player of the Week.
