Carson, CA (Sports Network) - Real Salt Lake loaned forward Paulo Jr. to the
Ft. Lauderdale Strikers of the second-division of the NASL on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old Paulo has one goal and one assist in 14 MLS matches this year,
but after starting the first five games this season, has struggled. RSL hopes
Paulo Jr. will regain form with Ft. Lauderdale.
"Paulo is a solid player," said RSL general manager Garth Lagerwey. "We think
that this short-term loan will allow him to score some goals and bring him
back to RSL sharper than ever."
Paulo Jr. used to play for Ft. Lauderdale. He joined RSL on loan from the club
in 2010, and made a permanent switch in February.
