COLUMBIA, SC - They battled ninth-ranked Texas A&M to a first-half draw and now the Gamecocks hope to show more improvement Saturday when they host Georgia.
While Carolina was disappointed with the 24-13 loss to the Aggies, the big question is what will be Georgia's frame of mind coming into Columbia. The Bulldogs lost to Tennessee Saturday afternoon in Athens on Hail Mary pass from Volunteer quarterback Joshua Dobbs to Jauan Jennings that covered 43-yards on the final play of the game.
"I could expect them to come in fiery with a lot of energy," said USC offensive lineman Malik Young.
"They're a good team. They play hard on defense."
Saturday's game with the Bulldogs will be a matchup of two men from the Nick Saban coaching tree. Both USC's Will Muschamp and Georgia head coach Kirby Smart served as defensive coordinators under Saban - Muschamp at LSU and Smart at Alabama.
