straight-set winner on Thursday to advance to the semifinals of the ASB

American earned a 6-1, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2 victory against Kiki Bertens of the
Netherlands.
Yanina Wickmayer, the third seed out of Belgium, advanced on Thursday with a
6-3, 6-4 victory over compatriot Kirsten Flipkens.
Wickmayer will face another fellow Belgian in the semifinals when she takes on

This event serves as a tune-up for the Australian Open, which starts January
