USC and Clemson Make K.J.'s Cut

One of the best defensive end prospects in the country has USC and Clemson in his top five.

One of the top defensive ends in the country is from Winston-Salem and he has USC and Clemson in his top five list of schools he is considering.

K.J. Henry is a 6-5, 235-pound senior from West Forsyth High School. On Tuesday, he released his top five and the Gamecocks and Tigers are on the list along with Alabama, Georgia and Virginia Tech.

"Out of this whole recruiting process, I talk to the head coach the most at South Carolina," Henry said.

"So, to have a head coach talk to just me is a big deal. It means I'm a priority for their recruiting."

Henry also had high praise for Clemson, a team Henry has always liked and more than a few pundits have predicted that's where Henry will land.

"Before I got to the recruiting process, i was a Clemson fan," Henry said.

"Obviously, when you get to this process, you have to leave the fan stuff to the other people. Coach Swinney has been great to me and my family. So they've been everything I could have hoped and asked for."
