Wesley Bryan Is Ready To Go At Quail Hollow

Former Dutch Fork and USC golfer Wesley Bryan has an early tee time on day one of the PGA Championship.

Wesley Bryan is about to tee it up in his first major in the Carolinas.

The former Dutch Fork and USC golfer was victorious in April at the RBC Heritage on Hilton Head Island. In 10 starts since that victory, Bryan has just one top 10, a tie for third at the John Deere Classic. But after a 3-under 67 in the final round of the WGC Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday in Akron, Wesley feels his game is starting to come together

"Found a little bit of form Sunday at Firestone last week," Bryan said.

"Built some good momentum coming into this week. Starting to hit the ball well. Hopefully, we can keep that moving forward and have a chance to win the tournament on Sunday.

For the second straight day, Bryan played a practice round with two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson who is known for his length off the tee.

"Number 18, I outdrove him." Bryan said.

"I don't know what happened. But I decided I'd give him a little grief for it. All in all, fun couple of days, fun couple of practice rounds with Bubba. Ready to go (Thursday)."

Bryan and fellow Dutch Fork graduate Dustin Johnson will tee it up in the morning at the PGA Championship.

Johnson is shooting for his second career major after winning the 2016 U.S. Open.
