Amy joined the News19 weather team in April 2012. She's thrilled to say goodbye to the snowy winters of Pennsylvania and hello to the hot summers of South Carolina!

Amy comes to News19 from AccuWeather in State College, Pennsylvania where she appeared on ABC's World News Now, ESPN, Fox Sports Network, and FOX News. Before AccuWeather, Amy reported and produced in various markets across the Eastern Seaboard including Syracuse, NY, Philadelphia, PA, and Washington DC.

Amy is a native of New Hope, PA. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in addition to her Bachelor's in Political Science.

While at Syracuse, Amy anchored and reported for the student-operated news station where she discovered her passion for meteorology when she stepped in front of the green screen to forecast the snowy skies of Syracuse. Amy then continued her education at Penn State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.

Amy was awarded the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal from the American Meteorological Society.

When Amy is not forecasting, she can be found volunteering and walking dogs at Pawmetto Lifeline. She also enjoys running, practicing yoga, exploring new restaurants, and traveling. She is certain to always keep her umbrella handy!
