Columbia, SC (WLTX) - President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden's nomination acceptance speeches have been moved from the Bank of America stadium to the Time Warner Cable arena due to severe weather forecasts.

Hundreds of people in Columbia lined up early to get a ticket to watch the nomination, which is planned for Thursday.

Because of the change of venue,Amanda Loveday with the South Carolina Democratic party saysthat the more than 65,000 community credentials issued can not be honored since there will be no space for that many ticket holders. She also said that they are working on a big viewing party in Columbia.

According to the DNCC website, ticket holders will be invited to "still take part in history as the President will host a conference call tomorrow afternoon (Thursday) specifically for credential holders so the President can address them directly."

The website goes on to explain that the call-in information for the conference call will be emailed to commuinty credential holders.

The DNCC also said plans will be makde to ensure that those unable to attend the nomination acceptance will be invited to see the President between now and election day.
