Newberry, SC (WLTX) --- The last time a graduate of Airport High School was the starting quarterback at Newberry College, it was during the Mike Taylor era in the 90's as Dustin Coates was under center.

Now, it is W.T. Murdin's turn to run the Newberry offense. Murdin started the final two games of 2011 and has maintained that status.

In the season opener last Saturday, Murdin was 5-12 for 102 yards and two touchdown passes.

Head coach Todd Knight has raved about Murdin's work ethic and feels the sophomore will only get better as he gets more starts.
