Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- USC Gamecocks quarterback Connor Shaw was named Co-Offensive Player of The Week, and Ace Sanders was picked as Co-Special Teams Player of The Week by the SEC Monday.

With Shaw's total of 249 passing yards and two touchdown passes, he threw for an impressive 20 pass completions in a row, raising questions by the CBS on-air play-by-play announcer Verne Lundquist about what the school's record might be for best pass performance in a game.

According to the 2012 SEC Media Guide, as noted by SEC Digital Network Writer Eric SanInocencio, Shaw's 20 completions in one game ranks him tied for second in the SEC recordbooks, behind Tennessee's quarterback Tee Martin, with 23 against Alabama, and tied with Ole Miss' Kent Austin.

Meanwhile, the SEC honored Ace Sanders as Co-Special Teams Player of The Week, running a total of 129 yars, and playing an integral part in the Gamecocks field position during the game, and his 23 yard catch for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter.
