Columbia, SC (WLTX)- Columbia Police are searching for a person of interest in connection with last month's North Main Street homicide investigation.

Investigators are hoping to identify the male to determine if he has any information about the shooting at the 3800 block of North Main Street on September 16th.

Police found 48-year-old Michael L. Davis lying in the middle of the road after being flagged down by a passerby just before 3:30 am.

Coroner Gary Watts says Davis died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Police are also searching for a 1996 white, 4 door Mazda Protege that was seen on surveillance video at thetime of the incident.
