Columbia, SC (WLTX) -Columbia police say there were threeseparatereports of robberiesThursday night--and they were all within abouttwo miles of each other.

ColumbiaPoliceDepartmentspokesperson Jennifer Timmonsconfirms the Hardee's on Rosewood Drive andthe Dollar General on South Beltline were both robbed, and those crimes are connected. She says police alsogot a call of a robbery in progress at the Shell gas stationin the 6500 block ofGarners Ferry Road.

Beginning around 7:30 p.m., a flurry of police activity could be seen in that area, with officers driving quickly from scene to scene with their lights and sirens on.

Timmons says they got a report that one suspect ran in and out of the Target store on Garners Ferry Road. News19 personnel saw officers posted outside the store and who later went inside the business. Officers then moved over to the nearby Panera Bread, and one of the suspects was taken into custody at that location.

So far, police have confirmed two arrests in connection with the Shell attempted robbery. According to Timmons, it's unclearif the men in custody areinvolved with the other two robberies. At least one other person is wanted for the robberies of the Hardee's and the Dollar General
