Columbia, SC (WLTX)--Beginning this Saturday, Columbia will boast two downtown local markets.

The local market on Whaley Street, which had moved to Main Street and was renamed Soda City, has returned as a 'brunch market' and will be called The Market at Whaley.

"We'll have about 25 new vendors," said Liz McCullar, "and it will be more of a brunch market. We'll be open from 10am-2pm, so people will be able to sleep in a bit later and not miss anything. We'll have holiday crafts, jewelry, prepared food and fruits and veggies. We'll also have Christmas trees for sale."

The Market at Whaley will be held at 701 Whaley with some vendors inside and some outside. Many of the vendors are gearing their offerings for the holiday season.

A brunch menu will be available, and on opening day it will be Chicken n' Dumplings with a biscuit, Tomato Basic Soup and candied pecan salad with blue cheese and cranberries. Coffee and tea will be on hand as well.
