Columbia, SC (WLTX) - USC defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and receiver/kick returner Ace Sanders are receiving more accolades.

SEC coaches named Clowney defensive player of the year and Ace Sanders co-special teams player of the year.

They're the first players to win those awards since USC joined the conference in 1992.

Clowney is second in the nation in sacks with 13, a mark that also represents the single-season record for Carolina. Tuesday, he won the Hendricks Award, given to the nation's top defensive end, and last week, he was named first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association.

Sanders set the USC single-season record for punt return yards with 363 this year. He average 14.5 yards per return.
