Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - Lexington County deputies are charging asuspect with murder in connection with the Christmastime disappearance of a West Columbia man.

Officers say back on December 23, 2011, Embree and George were at Shooter's Bar on the Charleston Highway. Deputies say the two were acquaintances.

Witnesses told investigators that George wasdrunk at the time, and people reported seeing Embree put George in George's Nissan Sentra and drive away.

George's brother reported him missing on December 25th. His father found hisabandoned car later that same day.

As it turns out, Embree was already in prison at theKershaw Correctional Institution. He'd been sentenced back in March of this year on an assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature charge.

Investigators say they also have forensic evidence that links Embree to George's disappearance and death. George's body has never been found.
