Hollywood, CA (WLTX) -- Stanley Lieber, better known as 'Stan Lee,' and co-creator of such Marvel comic characters as Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, and the X-Men, celebrates his 90th birthday Friday, Dec. 28th.

When Lee was 17 he got his first job in comics, working for Timely Comics in '39, working as a proof-reader, and within two years was given the position of Interim Editor.

Timely Comics would morph into Marvel Comics over the years, and Lee, having earned the position of Editor In Chief, would have him in the corner office until 1972.

Stan Lee's co-creator credits include The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, The X-Men, Dr. Strange, and The Amazing Spider-Man.

Over the years Lee has appeared in, or voiced, numerous television shows, including narrating the 1980's Incredible Hulkanimated series.

Additionally, Lee has become known for his cameo background appearances in films based upon his characters.
