Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies are searching for a suspect they say stole money meant for employees of an apartment complex.

The suspect is wanted for bank fraud and forgery.

Officers say between December 22nd of last year and January 7th of this year, the suspect stole checks that were supposed to go to employees of Richland Terrace Apartments. In total, investigators think he took almost $7,000.

On December 26th, officers say surveillance video captured the suspect depositing some of the money at an Allsouth Bank.

Investigators say they don't know the suspect's actual name, but hegoes by the nickname "Slim." Deputies say they have identified a co-defendant who is cooperating with the investigation.
